M.S. and Ph.D. in Forest and Natural Resource Sciences
Masters and doctoral programs in the department focus on forestry and natural resource sciences, such as silviculture, hydrology, and ecology. Students in those programs produce powerful research results that support woodland owners and improve the forest and urban ecosystems.

Our forestry degree program trains students to grow, manage, and protect forest ecosystems. The forestry major is a professional degree program and is the only one in Kentucky accredited by the Society of American Foresters. We have small classes with hands-on outdoor training.

The Wildlife Biology and Management Minor is designed to provide students in forestry, natural resource environmental science, biology, animal science and related majors with a broad foundation in wildlife ecology and the practice of wildlife management and conservation.

The Urban and Community Forestry Certificate helps "students to critically examine the role of green infrastructure in the sustainability and health of the built environment." (UCF)
